Our teachers have academic degrees and/or extensive teaching and performing experience with their instruments. We teach traditional methods with an emphasis on preparing each student for performance or other specific goals. Our teachers are excited about teaching! Ki Hoon Cha, Music Director
Studied Voice pedagogy and Performance in Westminster Choir College in Princeton ,NJ (Master degree) under Professor Thomas Farracco.  He stayed in Karls Ruhe Germany for experience of German music atmosphere in 1988-1989. During the time he studied German lieder with Professor of Stuttgart Musik Hochschule, Helmut Lips. He has long list of repertoire includes opera, oratorio, chamber and art song literature. Roles he has performed are Tamino in Mozart Magic Flute, Alfredo in Verdi¡¯s  La Traviata,  and Tenor solos in  Religious  Works (Haydn¡¯s Creation, Handel Messiah , Mendelssohn's Elijah, Rossini¡¯s Stabat Mater, Beethoven  9th symphony.)  

Yevgeniy Dyo  (Violin and Viola) 
Yevgeniy was born in June 6th, 1982 in Almaty, Kazakhstan . Started playing the violin at age 5. 1987 Entered to the special Baiseitova music school (Graduated in 2000). Studied with Abdusadykova Svetlana, Gaukhar Murzabekova. During this period Yevgeniy have participated in number of festivals and competitions. Among them: 1994 Laureate of Zhubanov International Festival. 1997 Grand Prize of festival ¡°Our future¡±  1999 3rd prize of Berndt Wiekl violin competition. 1999-2000 Soloist of chamber orchestra ¡°Kamerata of Kazakhstan¡±  2001-2005 Studied in Kazakh National Academy of Music. 2003 1st prize of International competition ¡°Shabyt-Inspiration¡± in violin nomination. 2004 Grand prize of ¡°Shabyt-Inspiration¡± in chamber music nomination. 2003-2005 Soloist of chamber ensemble ¡°Musica d¡¯accordo Astana.¡± The ensemble  had several successful tours throughout Kazakhstan. In May 2005 I participated in Premiere of ¡°Requiem¡± CD by Karl Jenkins in London. 2005-2006 member of Plano Symphony and Irving Symphony.  Since 2005 Yevgeniy has become a student of Vesselin Demirev and a year later of well-known professor Eduard Schmieder at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Since January 2007 Eduard Schmieder became a professor of Temple University. Currently  DMA candidate of Temple University.

Eugin Kim (Violin and Viola) 
Eugen Kim is a violinist, violist, composer and educator. She started playing the piano at the age of 4. After studying violin for 5 years, she gave debut concert with Daego City Orchestra as a winner of concerto competition, performing Violin Concerto in D major by P. Tchaikovsky. In 2003, she has performed at "Rising Star Debut Concert" in Seoul, held by Chosun Daily News.
It is a historical music festival in every year since 1960's in Korea, which brings the best students of colleges of music from all over the country, and it is held in one of the largest music centers called Sejong Art Hall in Korea, In 2004, she was invited as a representative of Korea in the project "Asian the 21st Century Orchestra" in Nagoya, Japan. As soon as she graduated the college, she started her career as a soloist, a section violinist in orchestra and educator. Gimcheon High school of music gave a position to her as a violin instructor when she was 22 years old. Even though she was young, she was so passionate about teaching. Among Kim's students, there was one student who entered one of most renown music colleges in Korea after Kim's teaching even though this student just played the violin for 4 years only. About a year later, Kim came to United States to continue her studying. And also she continued the career of professional musician in Plano Symphony Orchestra(TX), Irving Symphony Orchestra(TX) and Symphony in C (NJ).She has earned the degree in Master of Music from Temple University on May, 2009. She studied with Eduard Schmieder, Julia Bushkova, Bohumil Vankat, Eun-suk Choi, Sang-dae Kim and Seok-young Lim.

Katherine Barbato (Flute)
Katherine Barbato received her Master¡¯s Degree in Flute Performance from Temple University where she studied primarily with David Cramer.  She received her Bachelor Degree from Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory where she studied with George Pope, former Principal Flute of Akron Symphony. During her years of study, Katie participated twice in the National Flute Association Masterclass Competition  where she placed first and second alternate.  She was also a member of the 2003 National Wind Ensemble that played at Carnegie Hall. Katie had the pleasure of playing on Cleveland¡¯s classical radio station WCLV as a featured soloist.  Currently she enjoys playing and teaching flute and piccolo in the Philadelphia area. She is also an active orchestral musician where she plays Principal Flute in the Bryn Athyn Orchestra, sectional flutist and piccoloist of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra (SPSO), and has subbed in other Philadelphia regional orchestras. (Abington Symphony, and the Philadelphia Orchestra Society)  She has participated in many summer camps including Domain Forget, Lake Placid Institute, and Oberlin in Italy to name a few. She has worked with many world renowned artists such as Leon Buyse, Jim Walker, and Walfrid Kujala and Keith Underwood.

Tara Harvey  (Oboe)
Tara Harvey is a freelance oboist in the Philadelphia area. She earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Indiana University and a Master of Music in Oboe Performance from McGill University. Her primary teacher was Theodore Baskin (Principal Oboe, Montreal Symphony). Mrs. Harvey performs regularly with many area groups including Jubilate Deo Chorale & Orchestra, Vox Ama Deus and Rittenhouse String Quartet, Ensembles and Orchestras. Mrs. Harvey is on faculty at Eastern University and Valley Forge Christian College.
